James Murrell, MSRS, RT (R)(M)(QM)(CT) currently serves as the Radiography Program Director at Pima Medical Institute's Albuquerque Campus. He has been in the classroom for eight years; administration for four. James has served AEIRS as the Secretary/Treasurer for several years, having been elected President-Elect at the 2006 Annual Meeting in Denver.

James graduated from the University of Louisiana-Monroe in 1989 with a BS in Radiologic Technology. He then earned a MS in Executive Management from Troy University and another MS degree from Midwestern State University. He is currently enrolled as a PhD student at the University of New Mexico as he majors in Organizational Learning & Instructional Technology under the guidance of Dr. Patsy Boverie.

Murrell has been active with several organizations such as the New Mexico Society of Radiologic Technologists, the Louisiana Society of Radiologic Technologists, the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, and others. He is a frequent speaker at international, state and local societies.

Mari P. King, Ed D, RT(R), CDT has been the vice president of academic affairs at College Misericordia since March 2006, after serving as interim vice president of academic affairs, chair of the Health Sciences Division, and a faculty member in the Medical Imaging Department since 1976.

She received an associate degree in Radiologic Technology from College Misericordia and began teaching there as a radiography instructor. She earned her bachelor's degree in 1979 from College Misericordia, a master's degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Health Services Administration from Marywood University and her doctorate of education degree in Educational Technology from Lehigh University.

Dr. King currently serves as president-elect of the Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences (AEIRS), where she has been a member since 1991. She has also served as secretary-treasurer, director-at-large, board advocate of the Membership Committee and Research/Scholarship Committee, and chair of the Annual Conference Committee and Honors Lecture Committee.

Her professional experience includes working at four regional hospitals and publishing and presenting numerous research papers. In addition, Dr. King is active in regional and professional communities and serves on the board of directors of the Wyoming Valley Health Care Visiting Nurse Association.

Linda Yurko, MA, RT(R)(M) has been an educator in Radiological Sciences for 14 years. She has served as instructor, clinical coordinator & program coordinator of Radiography and Chair of Imaging Technologies at Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem, NC. Her last three years she has served as the Director of Allied Health programs and program coordinator for Radiography. She completed her radiography education from Presbyterian Hospital School of Radiology, in Charlotte, NC, obtained her Bachelor of Science from Greensboro College, NC, and a Master's from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC.

Linda lives in Jamestown, NC with her husband Gary, daughter's Lyndsay, 20, who is taking college transfer courses at a community college, and Kristin, 17, who is heading to East Carolina University this fall. Son, David, 25, graduated from UNC-Charlotte, with an Electrical Engineering degree.

Linda also serves as Resource Expert in Mammography for the Spectrum, Board Advocate of the Educator Workforce Development Committee, Chair of the Atlanta CI Workshop Committee, and has served as chair of the AHRA Committee and Honors Lecture Committee.

Linda is currently President of the North Carolina Society of Radiologic Technology. She is an active member in state and national societies, chairing and participating in numerous committees.

Tracy Herrmann, M.Ed., R.T. (R) has been a radiographer and educator for over 20 years. She is a professor at the University of Cincinnati (UC), Raymond Walters College and teaches in both the associate degree Radiologic Technology and baccalaureate degree Radiation Science Technology programs. She teaches courses related to equipment, image production, image critique, and leadership. Her radiography education was completed at The Ohio State University and her Masters degree in Health Education was earned at the University of Cincinnati.

Tracy is active in the Ohio Society of Radiologic Technologists (OSRT) having served on many committees and in many positions including past-president. She is presently the Financial Manager of the OSRT. She has also served as Ohio, Region VI, and Education delegate for the ASRT and is an accreditation site visitor for the JRCERT. She has presented nationally on active learning techniques including problem based learning and concept mapping and has a special interest in digital imaging technology.

Tracy lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with her husband, Bob, who works in MRI planning, her two daughters, Kelsey and Sophia, and their two cats, Melvin and Percy. Her daughters are both honors students. Kelsey is a student at UC majoring in English and Sophia is a high school junior and cheerleader.

Peter J. Barger, MS Ed., RT (R) (CT) is an assistant professor and founding program director at the Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences in Cape Girardeau, MO. Prior to accepting this position, Mr. Barger served as Assistant Director/In Patient Coordinator of radiology services at St. Joseph's Mercy Medical Center in Hot Springs AR as well as program director at Clarkson College in Omaha NE. Mr. Barger also has extensive experience as a trauma radiographer at Missouri Delta Medical Center, Sikeston, MO. An army veteran, he served honorably for 3 years as a military policeman prior to going to college at Southern Illinois University to learn the art of radiography. Mr. Barger has been very active in his profession, serving with the Missouri, Arkansas, and Nebraska societies of radiologic technologists in several leadership positions. Mr. Barger has served AEIRS as a member of several committees and has been chair of both the membership and by-laws committees. He is registered in Radiography and Computed Tomography.

Mr. Barger has been an active speaker on the local, state and national levels with numerous original lectures that are noted for being presented from his unique perspective. He has never received an accusation of "boring" when classroom evaluations are completed. Mr. Barger has also contributed to the 11th edition of Merrill's Atlas of Radiographic Positioning and Procedures by authoring a first of it's kind chapter on compensatory filtration. He is a featured speaker on the ASRT website with a webcast entitled "On Line Resources for Radiography Educators".

Pete Barger presently resides in Illinois with his lovely wife of 16 years Stacie, and their three children, Jacob (12), Shiloh (10) and Jolie (3).

Joy Menser, MSM, RT(R)(T)

Joy Menser MSM, RT (R) (T) is currently a Program Director at Owensboro Community and Technical College. She has worked in this capacity for three years. Joy has had an extensive career in Radiography and also is registered in Radiation Therapy.

Joy completed her Radiography education at the Health Occupation Annex in Madisonville, KY in 1983. In 1999 she attended Chattanooga State Community college where she completed her education in Radiation Therapy. She then attended Oakland City University in Oakland City IN. to complete her Bachelor of Science and Masters Degree in 2003.

Joy lives in Madisonville, KY with her husband Larry. She has two children a daughter Stephanie who attends Western Kentucky University and a son Chad who is a senior in High school. Joy has been very active with her church and youth group to include several mission trips.

Joy has been a member of the ASRT and KSRT since 2000 and a member of AEIRS since 2005. Joy is very excited to be a part of organizations that leads the Professional path for so many.

Paula Pate-Schloder, MS, RT, (R)(CV)(CT)(VI) completed her undergraduate work at Northern Arizona University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Radiography. She earned her Master's degree from College Misericordia in Educational Technology.

Paula has a diverse background in medical imaging and hospital administration. She was supervisor of Special Procedures at Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia. Paula also was Chief Technologist at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware and served as the Risk Manager there before coming to Misericordia.

Paula has been teaching full time at Misericordia University for 17 years as both a didactic and clinical instructor. Paula also has been an adjunct faculty member at King's College in the Physician Assistant Program for 8 years. She has represented the college of health sciences on numerous committees and served for three years as Chair of the Faculty Senate.

Paula has advanced certifications in cardiovascular interventional technology, computed tomography and vascular interventional technology. She has lectured at many state and national conferences and is published in Merrill's Atlas.
